hello world-

while i realize that it is convenient
to run matlab on the head-nodes at
acesgrid, (ie, ao, geo, and itrda),
this is not a good idea.

basically, we run the risk of using up
all the ram, swapping, and then semi-random
processes get killed off.

over the last month i have been quietly
cleaning up after offending matlabs on the
head-nodes, but things have gotten a bit
out of hand.

please refer the that matlab-faq at

  http://acesgrid.org/matlab.html

and run matlab via interactive sessions
in the future. if you have further questions,
feel free to send mail and we'll do all
that we can to clear things up.
