When complete the first phase of the ACES project will contain more than 500 CPU's with Pentium 4 or greater performance characteristics. There will be an aggregate memory capacity of nearly 1TB and near-line storage of more than 10TB. The backbone network fabric that connects the ACES sites will be driven at 10Gb/s ethernet speeds and the internal cluster fabrics will all be 1Gb/s ethernet performance or more.
